Installing drywall and metal studs is an art in itself. Knowing what product to use is very important to the finishes that are required at the end of the project. With our expert union trained metal stud installers and carpenters, we are able to provide a finish product that you will be completely satisfied with.
Gypsum Board
GYPSUM BOARD INSTALLATION
Universal Interiors provides the installation of drywall on metal stud partitions either non-rated or rated walls consisting of either 1/2″ or 5/8 drywall. One and Two hour rated walls for stairwells and elevators are our specialty. These systems consist of either metal studs with one or two layers of drywall on each side for one or two hour protection, or the Shaftwall system, consisting of the Shaftwall studs with one inch shaftliner panel and one or two layers of drywall. Installing drywall on ceilings walls can be complicated this is where we stand out, knowing how to properly install drywall on the ceiling walls takes a bit of knowledge such as knowing where to have drywall joints break on the ceiling and walls layout is critical to the finish and we know how to do this.
METAL STUD FRAMING
Universal Interiors provides the installation of exterior and interior metal stud framing along with suspended drywall ceiling framing. Metal stud framing is the start of the project; the framing has to be installed accurately so all finishes that follow will be installed in the approved manner. Metal stud framing usually consist of 25gage, 20gage, and even 18gage and 16gage for interior studs and track. Exterior can vary from 18 gage up to 12. We can provide our expertise to recommend the correct metal stud framing that you will need for your project.
